We raise Katahdin sheep. They
are a
“hair” sheep,they
do not produce wool. A few
older Ewes may
put on wool over the winter, but
it falls off in the spring.
Katahdin's are a
hardy breed and
do well even through
Florida’s
summer heat. They are a gentle breed
and produce flavorful
meat.
Our Katahdin are natural
pasture
fed and supplemented with grains
to help them
stay “people friendly”.
Katahdin sheep often give birth
to twins and triplets
and are exceptional mothers.
We are building our
herd, so at the moment we are
only selling our
Rams. We keep exceptional breeding
records using
the herd tracking software
S.A.F.A.R.I. We sell out
even before the lambs are born,
so if you want to
purchase lambs from us, be
sure to contact us right
away and we will add your name
to our call list.
We will call you when they
are born and make
purchase arrangements with
you at that time.
The goal is to have lambs ready
for the traditional
Easter and Christmas dinners
but because our
sheep are in a free range pasture
with the Ram,
the schedule is up to them!
We do have our ladies
lambing twice a year –
spring and fall.
