As 21st Century Farmers we have encountered something that our forefathers would never have imagined........................

some people have never SEEN a farm!

Many children do not know that hamburger comes from COWS!

And that chickens come from EGGS!

So, with all of the resourcefulness of a 21st century farmer, we began to offer tours.

(Anything to help pay the taxes- right!)

As folks found us they were curious about how things ran around here. We used to give a short tour but found that after questions, petting all our critters and a short chat with our colorful Macaws,that we lost a lot of time and nothing else got done that day. Trust me, we ALWAYS have something that needs to be done.

So, we decided to schedule and charge for our time.

We will do a casual walking tour of the farm and see the gardens, rabbits, pigs, cows, sheep, turkeys & chickens. Kids get to pet the bunnies & pigs and pick an egg or two from the laying coop.They also get a feather from the Macaws. Barn tours are $20 per family of up to 6 people.School & group tours contact us for special rates.

PLEASE remember, we are a working farm. We are always happy to meet new customers, but we cannot always stop working to show you around. You are welcome to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT on Saturdays to come out and see us.

Over the years we have had people interested in going back "to the basics" and have come to us for advise and information. We found ourselves sharing information and giving out handouts in our eagerness to help. However, again, we realized this cost us time & money.

I was a newsletter writer, editor and publisher for both the Southern Commercial Rabbit Producers Association and The Rabbit Exchange. Mike was the Southwest Regional Director for S.C.R.P.A. for 5 years and the Executive Director of The Rabbit Exchange.
